The Structural/Maintenance Welder program prepares you for high-demand careers in fabrication, repair, and structural welding. This program builds advanced skills in various welding positions and simulates real-world job scenarios, including work on ladders and scaffolds. With a primary focus on safety, you will master oxyfuel cutting, back gouging, interpreting welding symbols, electrode selection, and machine adjustment. The program culminates in a hands-on SMAW (Stick) welding exam. Upon successful completion, you will earn an industry-recognized welder qualification from an AWS Certified Welding Inspector. Successful graduates receive a certificate of completion and are prepared for entry-level employment as structural welders, maintenance/repair welders, welder helpers, and steel fabricators.
